As part of the ongoing exchange program that MAIR clinic is doing with U.S. institutions, Pr. John Speed and his team from the University of Utah School of Medicine came to Marrakech and joined MAIR staff for more that one week. Pr. Speed lectured MAIR staff on several aspects of neuro-rehabilitation. He also made clinical recommendations/suggestions on several cases that MAIR staff shared with him.
Pr. Speed team included an occupational therapist who specialized in spinal cord injuries, an occupational therapist who specialized in pediatric rehabilitation, a speech and language therapist with specialty in swallowing and feeding therapy and a physical therapist. These therapists spent all their time teaming up with MAIR staff during therapy sessions and this exchange greatly benefited MAIR staff and their patients.
